A one-stop-shop for all your print communication needs

Concept

Stage one is ascertaining what the publication represents: the demographics of its target audience; the topics it would cover; whether it would be a one-off or annual; the colour palette and page size.

Design

Stage two is producing a mock-up sample of the publication, with dummy text and images. Through a process of communication between designer and client a publication template is crafted.

Layout

The print-ready text elements and graphics are then assembled into an electronic representation of the publication, using specialist Adobe software. The resulting layouts must then be signed off by the client.

Print production

The final stage occurs once the client is entirely happy with the publication in virtual format. All that is left is converting the publication into a format that can be sent off to be physically printed and distributed.

Copy editing

Next is producing the publication with 'real' text and images. Once the structure and sections are known the sub-editing process takes place. This includes editing, headlining, image selection and caption writing.
